Today had both good & bad situations. This is the good, the next post is the bad.
Saige had her very last day of Kindergarten today. She is very happy about summer break. She gets to stay up till 9pm and is looking forward to going swimming.
Her report card was excellent!!! Her grades were outstanding and she increased 6 reading levels throughout the year. They only have to be at a b-c level to graduated kindergarten (She started at a b level) and Saige is at a g-h level. We are very proud.
Also, her year end test was unbelievable. Her teacher said that the average student took 45min to an hour to complete it and that they read 1-2 pages of test words. Her teacher said that she expected Saige to finish in about 30min.
Well, our little smarty pants finished in 15min and that included her "visiting" time with the teacher. She also read 3 entire pages of words. Her teacher said that she wasn't surprised, and that she has great potential, if she'd just quit visiting so much, but her social skills are what makes Saige, Saige.
Great Job Sis, We Love You and are Very Proud of You!!!

Saige is movin' on to 1st Grade
Saige's Bangs-Oops!
Saige went to play at the neighbor's house today. She had been gone about an hour when I decided to take Peyton for a walk. I rounded the top of the cult-a-sack when Saige came running out of their yard with a hurt look on her face. I yelled to her and she came running. As she got closer, I started to ask her what was wrong. I was then stopped by the shock of what I saw. I then asked her in a heated voice, "What the hell happened to your bangs?!"
I was then told the wonderful story of how her and the neighbor girl (who is 11 yrs old) were playing hair and Josie burned her bangs OFF with a flat iron. I then examined the rest of her hair, which to my excitement, was totally fine.
Saige said that she kept telling her "NO!" but that Josie just clamped the flat iron down on her bangs. Saige pushed her back but she didn't release the hair. Finally when Saige quit pushing her away, the iron flew forward and burned her forehead.
So to explain the damage...if you divide her bangs in half, the entire left side is TRASHED!!! It looks like someone took a razor or shears and just hacked at it, except that the ends are all burnt like a BBQ exploded or something.
I'm quite upset and I think I'm going to have a chat with her parents tomorrow sometime. Unfortunately, these are the neighbors that we've been having issues with anyway. Oh well, one more stick to add to the fire, right?!!!

Peyton's first taste of CaNdY!!!
On Father’s Day, we went to my Parent’s home and my Mom gave Peyton some licorice. She was covered in red sticky slime. She had the piece in her hand and kept sticking out her tongue and making a licking action before her hand even got to her mouth. She was so excited when she finally made contact and could taste it. It was so very CUTE!!!
Green Construction Annual Party
Colten CHUCKING Saige into the swimming pool. She loved it and kept asking for it again and again.
Saige diving into the straw for candy.
My Mom's 2nd annual work party at the "DDD Ranch" in Herriman.
They had a huge dinner, playground, games, and swimming. We had a BLAST!!!
Thanks "GREEN FAMILY", we had a ton of fun!!!

Peyton's Hair
I finally tried Peyton's hair in "Pom-Poms". It makes her look so much older than 3 months. I tried 2 at first but it didn't look right so in the pics, she has 3 (look really hard). Then she had a HUGE AFRO when I took them out. Saige was laughing so hard that it made Peyton giggle a little too.

Our Family is GrOwInG!!!
We have a beautiful daughter Saige Myrlene. She is 6 yrs old going on 30. She is just finishing Kindergarten this month and is excited to start 1st grade and eat school lunch.
She is very active and loves to draw, sing, ride her horses & 4-wheelers, play with her dog, take care of her baby sister, and "Hang-Out" with friends & family.
We just adopted a wonderful little girl from Chicago, Illinios. Peyton Andrea was born March 15th, 2008. She was placed with us when she was 5 days old and the past 2 1/2 months have been wonderful. She is such a blessing in our home. She is a smart little thing and loves to talk and sing and play with toys. She also tried to roll off the couch last week (scared the crap out of me). She is getting so big, so fast and everyday brings a new adventure.
We are also planning to adopt a baby from a girl in our ward. The baby is due October 14th. She was one of my Young Women and we had a bond long before this came about. She sleeps over alot and our families get together often too. We just found out last week that the baby is a BOY and we are naming him Hesston Boyd Sweat.
We are so very excited about our GrOwInG family. It took us such a long time and so many heart-aches to get to this point but we are finally here. My parents just kept saying "Heavenly Father's timing is NOT our timing and you need to be patient." I should have trusted in their words, because my Dad's ALWAYS right!!!
So now that we are finally here, I hope this helps you to stay caught-up on our everyday life.
Our New Blog
My Sister-in-Law started a blog when she moved to Texas and I love being able to jump on and see all of the new events and pictures. It makes me feel like I can keep up with all the changes that go on in between our get-togethers.
So I thought that I would offer her, and any other friends and family, the same options.
Hope You Enjoy It!!!
